ഇടുക്കിയിൽ പള്ളിയിൽ കുർബാനയ്ക്കിടെ ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ മ, രിച്ച ആൻ മരിയ ജോയിയുടെ മൃ, തദേ, ഹം സംസ്‌കരിച്ചു. ആൻ മരിയയെ ഒരു നോക്ക് കാണാൻ വീട്ടിലും പള്ളിയിലും വൻ ജനക്കൂട്ടമാണ് എത്തിയത്. വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ രണ്ട് മണിക്ക് സംസ്കാര ചടങ്ങുകൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു. മന്ത്രി റോഷി അഗസ്റ്റിൻ തുടങ്ങിയവർ എത്തി ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് വിലാപയാത്രയായി ഇരട്ടയാർ സെന്റ് തോമസ് പള്ളിയിലേക്ക് മരിയ ജോയിയുടെ മൃ, തദേ, ഹം ആനയിച്ചു.
ആദരസൂചകമായി പത്ത് ആംബുലൻസുകൾ ആൻ മരിയയുടെ വാഹനത്തിന് അകമ്പടി സേവിച്ചു. പള്ളിയിലെ ചടങ്ങുകൾക്ക് ഇടുക്കി രൂപതാധ്യക്ഷൻ മാർ ജോൺ നെല്ലിക്കുന്നേൽ മുഖ്യകാർമികത്വം വഹിച്ചു. ജൂൺ ഒന്നിന് സെന്റ് കട്ടപ്പനയിലെ കുർബാനയ്ക്കിടെ ആനിമേരിയെ ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തെ തുടർന്ന് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. നില അതീവഗുരുതരമായതിനാൽ വിദഗ്ധ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി എറണാകുളം അമൃത ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റണമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാർ നിർദേശിച്ചു.
കുറഞ്ഞ സമയം കൊണ്ട് മലയോര പാതയിലൂടെ കൊച്ചിയിലെത്തുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു വലിയ വെല്ലുവിളി. കുട്ടിയെ ആംബുലൻസിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ വഴിയൊരുക്കണമെന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കൾ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. മന്ത്രി റോഷി അഗസ്റ്റിൻ നേരിട്ട് ഇടപെട്ടു. മാധ്യമങ്ങളും പോലീസും സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളും ആംബുലൻസ് കടന്നുപോകുന്നതിന് സഹായമൊരുക്കി. അങ്ങനെ നാട് മുഴുവൻ കൈകോർത്ത് ആൻ മരിയക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കി.
അങ്ങനെ കട്ടപ്പനയിൽ നിന്ന് 139 കിലോമീറ്റർ സഞ്ചരിച്ച് രണ്ട് മണിക്കൂറും 39 മിനിറ്റും കൊണ്ട് ഒരു തടസ്സവുമില്ലാതെ ആൻ മരിയയെ അമൃത ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചു. ആദ്യ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ വിദഗ്ധ ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ ചികിത്സയിൽ ആരോഗ്യനിലയിൽ നേരിയ പുരോഗതി ഉണ്ടായെങ്കിലും പിന്നീട് നില വഷളാവുകയായിരുന്നു. ജൂലൈ 26ന് കുട്ടിയെ കോട്ടയം കാരിത്താസ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. ആൻമരിയ ആരോഗ്യം വീണ്ടെടുത്ത് ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവരുമെന്ന് എല്ലാവരും പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ എല്ലാവരെയും ദുഃഖത്തിൽ ആഴ്ത്തി ആൻ മരിയ മരണത്തിന് കീഴടങ്ങി.
The body of Anne Maria Joy, who died while undergoing treatment after suffering a heart attack during a church mass in Idukki, has been cremated. The big challenge was to reach Kochi through the hilly road in a short time. Relatives requested to make way for the child to be taken away in an ambulance. Minister Roshi Augustine intervened directly. The media, police and social media groups publicized the passage of the ambulance. So the whole country joined hands and paved the way for Ann Maria.
Thus, without any hurdles, Ann Maria was brought to Amrita Hospital in two hours and 39 minutes after traveling 139 km from Kattapana. In the first few days there was a slight improvement in the health condition under the treatment of expert doctors, but later the condition worsened. On July 26, the child was shifted to Kottayam Caritas Hospital. It was hoped that Annemaria would recover her health and come back to life. But to everyone’s grief, Ann Maria succumbed to death.
